Overview
Access Control is the term for the technology
that controls entry and exit for people and
vehicles in and around secure areas. Various
forms of access control systems are on the
market and range from very low tech and dumb
to high tech and smart. As you would expect
from Intellisec, we are only interested in
supplying the very smartest of systems.
Access
control has evolved over the years from a single
pin number on a lock, to magnetic swipe cards,
to proximity detection cards/readers right
the way through now to full biometric systems
that use unique features of the body – fingerprint,
facial patterns or iris patterns – to
recognise, almost without error, the person
attempting to access an area.
Intellisec offer
systems that use both proximity detection devices
that can be integrated into our A.I.M application
or similarly full biometric systems with the
same criteria. In addition to the actual systems,
Intellisec provide a full range of gates and
turnstiles to which both our access control
and perimeter Smart Fence can integrate.
